Surya’s ton guides Safran into finals

JAMMU, Apr 6: Safran Cricket Club trounced Game Changer Cricket Club by 42 runs on the eighth day of the ongoing 50 over Under-19 Cricket tournament, organised by Safran Cricket Club and Country Cricket Club at Country Cricket Stadium, here today.
Batting first, Safran CC scored a total of 296 runs in 50 overs for the loss of 9 wickets in which Surya Udhay Singh scored a first century of tournament (115 runs off 103 balls), while Ashutosh Gupta made 36 runs, Lakshya scored 30 runs and Prayrit Das Gautam and Shaurya contributed 26 &12 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Sachin Sharma took 3 wickets, while Arjun Singh and Raman got 2 wickets each and Jeevesh took 1 wicket.
In reply, Game Changer bundled out at 254 in 46.3 overs. Jehanveer Singh scored 66 runs, while Salman Ali scored 63 runs and Raman and Chandan contributed 33 and 31 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Ansh Khajuria scalped 4 wickets, Lakshya, Surya clinched 2 wickets each and Aman and Surya Dev got 1 wicket each.
Surya Udhay Singh was declared as Man of the Match for his overall performance.
