JAMMU, Dec 10: The Swachh Bharat BIG Cricket League 2024 entered its exciting quarterfinal stage at Kot Tawa, delivering two thrilling encounters that have set the tone for the competition’s climax.
In the first quarterfinal, Chief Secretary XI faced off against District Administration Samba XI. Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Chief Secretary XI posted an imposing total of 197 runs in their 20 overs. Shahid played a pivotal role, scoring a crucial 47 runs and later claiming two wickets, leading his team to a strong victory. His all-round performance earned him the Man of the Match title as Chief Secretary XI advanced to the semifinals.
The second match saw Infra Business take on Shivya Ayurveda. Batting first, Infra Business amassed 188 runs, with Amir Wani shining with both bat and ball. Scoring 50 runs and taking three wickets for just 13 runs, Wani’s all-round brilliance secured a dominant 88-run victory. Shivya Ayurveda, in response, were bowled out for just 100 runs.
The action continues tomorrow with the remaining quarterfinals: Swachhta Strikers vs Tawi Challengers and Hill View Rajouri vs Mullan CC.
