Swati Paradkar becomes president of Lijjat Papad

MUMBAI, Oct 16: Swati Paradkar has been elected as president of of Mahila Griha Udyog Lijjat Papad for the year 2012-13. The institute works for the upliftment of women from rural areas and provides them self-employment opportunities.
Established in 1959, the institute has 77 branches and 27 divisions spread all over the India and thousands of women are associated with the Institution as co-owners.
It is a public charitable trust and recognised by Khadi & Village Industries Commission.
Other office bearers include Pratibha Sawant as vice president and Sharda Kubal as secretary, a release said. (UNI)
