Symposium on ‘Communal Harmony, National Integration’ held

Rajouri, Feb 28: District Police Rajouri today organized a symposium on “Communal Harmony and National Integration” at Kalakote under Civic Action Programme, in which more than 600 students of various Schools and Colleges participated.
The function was attended by CO 63 RR D.D Swain, Tehsildar  Kalakote, BMO/BDO Kalakote, Principal Degree College Kalakote, Principal Boys & Girls Hr. Secondary Schools Kalakote and prominent citizens of the area.
On the occasion, 22 students spoke on the topic and highlighted the various facets of National Integration and need to maintain communal harmony.
Deepakshi Khajuria of Hr. Secondary School Kalakote, Neha Sharma of Hr. Secondary School Solki and Vishal Raina of Boys Hr. Secondary School, Kalakote bagged Ist, 2nd & 3rd prize, respectively.
On this occasion, Mubassir Latifi, SP Rajouri distributed cash prizes and certificates to the winners and other participating students.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that it is the duty of every citizen of this country to strengthen the nation by contributing their own bit as peace is imperative for any development. J&K Police has led from the front in upholding the rule of law, strengthening the integrity of the nation and maintaining communal harmony forever lasting peace.
He also assured that more such programmes would be organized in near future to provide a platform to youth at State & National level for exhibiting their talent.
