Symposium on ‘Road Safety’ held at Kathua

KATHUA, Jan 31: Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, in collaboration with ARTO Kathua, hosted an Inter-School Symposium on the theme “Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha” to raise awareness about road safety.
The event featured thought-provoking discussions by students from 10 schools, emphasizing responsible road behaviour and adherence to traffic rules. Principal Mili R. Sumbria welcomed the guests, including chief guest Surinder Mohan Sharma (ADDC Kathua), guest of honour Mangat Ram Sharma (CEO) and Special Invitee Harpreet Anand (Chairman, Jammu Sanskriti Schools). Other dignitaries included Shammi Kumar (ARTO Kathua), Dr. Uttam Chand (District Health Officer) and Kapil Manhas (DTI), among others.
The symposium began with a welcoming song and an impactful Nukkad Natak performed by students of Jammu Sanskriti School, highlighting the importance of road safety.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua won 1st Prize, followed by Kartar Public School Barnoti (2nd Prize) and St. Xavier’s Convent School (3rd Prize).
