JAMMU, Feb 26: A Seminar on ‘Save Girl Child’, under Civic Action Segment was organized by District Police Reasi at Delhi Public School, Kakryal, Katra today.
Around 23 contestants, both male and female, from various schools of Katra area participated in the seminar.
Mithali Padha, 11th Class student of GHSS Katra won the 1st Position with cash award of Rs.3000, while Shivani Sharma, 12th Class student of GHSS Katra bagged 2nd position with cash award of Rs 2000 and Shekhu Jamwal, 11th Class student of GHSS claimed 3rd position with a cash award of Rs 1000.
The position holders were rewarded by the chief guest of the occasion Dr. Vandhna Sharma, HoD of English Department, SMVDU Kakryal accompanied by guest of honour TL Thapa, Executive Engineer R&B Katra, Sumir Kotwal, Additional SP Katra and Dr Meetu Dutta, Medical Officer of PHC Katra who have performed as the duties of jury members, in the presence of Dr Ashok Sharma, SDPO Katra and Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, SHO P/S Katra.
A large gathering of students of various schools like Delhi Public School Katra, GHSS Katra, GHSS Panthal, Amba Kids Home Katra, Govt. Girls Middle School Katra as well as respectable persons of area participated in the function.
The programme was organized by Dr Ashok Sharma, SDPO Katra alongwith Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, SHO P/S Katra, SI Vikas Jasrotia, I/C PP Kakryal, SI Suman Singh of P/S Katra under the supervision of Sumir Kotwal, Additional SP Katra and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi.
The programme was organized by the District Police Reasi.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Additional SP Reasi.
