UDHAMPUR, Jan 31: Tehsil Information Center, Ramnagar today organized a symposium on the topic “Role of Youth in Disaster Management” in the premises of Government High School Sunetar.
Incharge Headmaster of the host school, Kuldeep Kumar, was the chief guest on the occasion.
As many as 10 students participated in the symposium and expressed their views on the topic. Surinder Kumar, a student of class 10th secured first position in the symposium while the 2nd and 3rd positions were bagged by Atul Singh Bandral and Rakesh Kumar, respectively.
Besides, Savita Devi and Suraj Parkash were given consolation prizes. Rajesh Kumar, Satya Sharma and Ashok Kumar acted as judges of the contest.
Appreciating the role of Information Department in organizing the event of great importance at school level, the chief guest said that the contest has enabled the students to expose their talent on a common platform which would help in building self-confidence amongst them.
