JAMMU, May 23: Superb bowling display by Rohit and fabulous batting performance by Avinash helped GGM Science College XI to register 6-wicket win over Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) Blues in the ongoing 3rd Prof Pran Nath Malhotra Memorial One-Day Cricket Tournament, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, the young side of JCC Blues bundled out for a paltry total of 123 runs in 45.3 overs. Hisham Saleem slammed a magnificent half-century (58) with the help of 7 boundaries, while Sahil contributed 20 including 2 fours. Rohit was the wrecker-in-chief for Science College team, who scalped 5 important wickets by conceding just 11 runs in his 7.3 overs, while Mayank Goutam and Varun Choudhary claimed 2 wickets each.
Science College XI, in reply rode a brilliant knock of unbeaten 58 runs by Avinash, who struck 7 magnificent boundaries in his 55-ball knock, while Anil contributed unbeaten 25 runs with 2 boundaries. For JCC Blues, Anshuman and Ajay took 2 wickets each.
The match was officiated by Saleem-ur-Rehman and Sham Singh Langeh as umpires, while Raghav Verma acted as scorer.
Meanwhile, according to a statement issued here, the office of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, Jammu has been temporarily shifted to Prince of Wales Pavilion, Hostel Ground Jammu during the aforementioned tournament. All office enquiries can be obtained from the same office.
