JAMMU, Dec 5: A rainbow of colours unfurled on the stage as Tiger Army Pre Primary School (TAPPS) Damana celebrated its Annual Day function “Freedom to Grow” in school premises.
The function was inaugurated by lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest along with School principal. The event began with ‘Ganesh Vandana’ presented by UKG students.
A soulful rendition by the choir group singing a song “I have a Dream” ended with the zeal to achieve heights. What followed were a myriad of colourful songs and plays performed by the tiny toddlers, which enthralled the audience. The audience was also regaled by a fashion show presented by the LKG students.
The main attraction of the event was a skit depicting the menace of ‘killing the girl child in womb’ which made the chief guest as well as other guests emotional for a while. The tiny tots also enthralled the audience with Dogri, Kashmiri, Punjabi and Himachli dances.
Earlier in her welcome address, the School principal presented annual report of the School.
The function concluded with distribution of prizes to meritorious students by the chief guest and singing of the National Anthem by one and all.
