POONCH, Feb 27: Inter-district AAG Girls UT level Taekwondo Championship, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports in association with Taekwondo Association, commenced at Indoor Hall Sports Stadium, here today.
The event was declared open by District Additional SSP Khalid Amin who was the chief guest of the opening ceremony, whereas MA Qureshi, DySP was the guest of honour and Prem Parkash Luthra was the special guest of the occasion.
Players of eight Districts took part in this mega event. Speaking on the occasion chief guest congratulate the DYSS for organising this mega event at Poonch. He also assured every possible help to the players from the District Police.
All bouts were officiated under the technical supervision of Rajinder Singh (PET) along with Mukta Gupta (PET), Pushap Thakur, Nitin Rathore, Farooq Ahmed, Sandeep Kumar, Simar Kour, Amit Kumar, Waqaur and Pawan Deep Singh, whereas the selection committee is being headed by Atul Pangotra (PET) and Barinder Singh Manhas (PET).
The function was presided over by Vijay Kumar (PEM).
