JAMMU, Sept 27: The Taekwondo Association of District Srinagar is set to host the 14th District Srinagar Taekwondo Championships 2024-25 from September 30 to October 1. This event, organized under the J&K Taekwondo Association and the J&K Sports Council, will take place at the Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex in Srinagar, promoting the “My Youth My Pride” initiative.
Open to Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior and Senior players from District Srinagar, the championship aims to select top athletes who will represent the district in the upcoming 27th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships 2024-25. Only medallists from this event will qualify for the next championship. To compete, all athletes must possess a valid JKTA Athlete License; entries without this license will not be accepted. Additionally, senior athletes must hold Black Belt certificates as mandated by the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI).
Participating athletes must report to the Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex on September 30 at 5:00 pm for the weigh-in. They are required to bring completed registration forms signed by their parents, along with their Aadhar Card, JKTA License and Date of Birth certificate issued by the Municipality of Srinagar or the concerned Sarpanch.
