JAMMU, Oct 6: The J&K Sports Taekwondo Association organized the Belt Grading Examination Championship 2024 at Sai Palace, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, with great enthusiasm and participation. A total of 210 students showcased their Taekwondo skills, with 180 being promoted to higher colour belt ranks.
The championship was conducted under the leadership of Anil Nanda, President of the J&K Sports Taekwondo Association, and Ronika Rathore, General Secretary and organizer of the event. Other key officials present included Fateh Ali (Joint Secretary), Peetember Tandon (Senior Member), and Sneh Gupta (Senior Member).
Senior BJP leader and ex-MLC, Vikram Randhawa was the chief guest. Dr. Anita Sharma, motivational speaker and founder of Maven Vibes, along with Dr. KCS Mehta, Academics Director of IDPS Akhnoor, were the guests of honour. They distributed certificates and awards to students who successfully passed the belt grading examination.
In his address, Anil Nanda highlighted the significance of the event and announced that the promoted students would be given an opportunity to participate in the State Taekwondo Championship, which will be held in Jammu in December 2024. The championship was a platform for students to test their skills, discipline and dedication, with participants from various schools in Jammu, including Roots the Montessori House, Modern Montessori International School, Dogra Higher Secondary School, Heritage School and British International School.
