JAMMU, Apr 26: The Department of Youth Services and Sports District Samba organized Inter School District Level Taekwon-Do Championship at Humanity Public High School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, here.
All the five zones participated in the tournament with total number of 32 participants from all over the district. The Tournament was inaugurated by the District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
ZEPOs B D Sharma and Pardeep Singh were present on the occasion.
The Championship was held under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports, Jahangir Mir.
While addressing the participants, DYSSO Samba stressed upon the students to learn Taekwon-Do for self defence.
The official present on occasion were Anirudh Singh Slathia, Sanjay Gupta, Rekha Sambyal, Nav Jyoti, Raj Singh Chib, Zorawar Singh Sambyal, Suman Bala Sharma, Hardeep Singh, Raju Sharma, Mohinder Kumar and Pankaj Kumar.
