Taekwondo C’ship under CAP concludes

POONCH, Mar 28: Taekwondo Championship, organized by District Police in collaboration with District Taekwondo Association for girls under civic action programme (CAP), concluded at Sports Stadium, here today.
The championship took place under the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police Rohit Baskotra.
Amit Sharma, joint secretary PDTA presented welcome address to dignitaries, wherein Narinder Mohan Suri-DPO was the chief guest, while Principal GDC Prof Dr Jasbir Singh was the guest of honour and Ajit Singh president District TT Association, Prem Parkash Luthra Sr. vice president PDTA and Dr Udeshpal Sharma Chairman Yashpal Sharma Foundation were the special guests.
The chief guest and other dignitaries gave best wishes to participants and appreciated the organizers for the event. The dignitaries also distributed medals, mementos and certificates to all the medal winners of the championship.
Khalida Jabeen, Rahila Kouser, Manpreet Kour, Ruksana Bandey, Arohi Dutta, Sukriti Sharma, Rutba Khanam, Iqra Javid and Sana Kazmi won gold medals, while Gurleen Kour, Hafza Fatima, Rizwana Fareed, Manroop Kour, Srijan Bakshi, Anjum Parvana, Nandani Suri secured silvers and Arohi Dutta was adjudged as best player in sub junior category and Sukriti Sharma was declared as best player in cadet and Rahila Kouser in senior category.
