Taekwondo Federation of India blacklists Ajaz Rasool

JAMMU, July 5: After observing that Ajaz Rasool Mir of J&K State Taekwondo Association was actively involved in misusing the name of the Federation and was taking money from athletes under various heads to take them abroad for participation in international events without the permission of the federation, bringing bad name to the federation, the Taekwondo Federation of India has blacklisted him with immediate effect.
“Ajaz Rasool Mir is disrupting the taekwondo activities in Srinagar where the J&K STA has removed him from the post of President on account of his illegal activities where he is also involved in promoting other martial arts as well. His activities are against the Rules and Regulations of TFI. In view of this, he has been blacklisted”, the TFI statement said.
The statement added that any activity conducted by Ajaz relating to taekwondo under the banner of TFI or J&K STA will be illegal and the person so cheated can file criminal complaint against him with police or in a the court of law.
The statement further said that any association or club where he is involved in any capacity cannot be given affiliation with any District Taekwondo Association and any person or official found to be involved in promoting Mir in any manner, will also be dealt harshly under Circular-6 of Discipline and Appeal Rules.
Meanwhile, as per constitution of TFI, Ajaz can appeal against this order to the National Disciplinary Committee as per Article 4 of the above mentioned circular. The appeal should be addressed to P Andrew Gurung, Chairman Technical Committee and Member National Disciplinary Committee (NDC).
