JAMMU, Aug 29: The J&K State Taekwondo Sub –Junior (boys and girls) Kyorugi and Poomsae team left for Pune today to participate in the 31st Sub-Junior National Taekwondo (Kyorugi and Poomsae) Championships to be held from August 30 to September 1, 2013 at Balawadi Sports Complex, Pune.
The Chairman J&K Taekwondo Association, Anil Gupta (Anu), president PC Sharma and General Secretary DN Pangotra, office bearers of the Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association(JKTA) saw off the team in a simple function.
The Observer from Taekwondo Federation of India, Master Lalit Tirkey (International Referee) was also present to see off the J&K team .The Team:
Boys: Paranshu Gupta (18 kg), Achutam Dev Singh (21 kg), Sushant Verma (23 kg), Raghav Mehra (25 kg), Aryan Gupta (27kg), Robin Gill (29 kg), Ashutosh Sharma, Kathua(32 kg), Aman Kahajuria(38 kg), Pawan Kumar (41 kg), Ajay Kumar (44 kg), Tushar Gupta (Poomsae), Surinder Singh (Poomsae), Rajat Thakur (NIS) is accompanying the team as coach.
Girls: Vaibhavi Abrol (18 kg), Navya Jain (22 kg), Asma Gul, Kargil (27kg), Komal Dhiman (38 kg).
Shazia Batool is accompanying the team as coach and Rohit Sharma as manager.
