Tailoring, weaving training capsule for women culminates

Srinagar, Feb 29: Army today said it has successfully culminated a training capsule on tailoring and weaving for the women of Drugmulla in Chailpatti village of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A defence spokesman said as part of project “Kasib Habibullah”, the Army conducted a training capsule on tailoring and weaving for women of Chailpatti Village from February 15 to February 29.
“The focus of the training was to emphasize upon Women Empowerment and skill Development thereby facilitating women towards attaining an alternative source of livelihood and two instructors were contracted from Tangmarg,” he said.
The spokesman said a total of 45 women attended the training and availed its benefits.  “The womenfolk of Drugmulla area displayed tremendous spirit during the training capsule,” he added.
