JAMMU, Jan 1: Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Samaj Sudhar Forum (JKLSSF) has appealed the Government to take sufficient measures for the convenience of the pilgrims visiting the State from various parts of the country for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, other religious and tourist destinations.
In a statement issued, president of the forum KA Dewani said that the Government authorities should register the collies and the people who are proving horses and other facilities to the pilgrims at various tourists and religious destinations vis-à-vis provide uniforms to them so that the tourist may be able to identify and approach them easily.
The Tourism Department should introduce short-term and refresher courses for the collies, labourers and the people who are operating business shops at tourists and religious spots so as to create neat and clean atmospheres and proper facilities to the tourists upto their satisfaction, he added.
He expressed concern over increasing beggars in the State and appealed the Government to register them with proper identification as the anti-national elements can use their service for vested interests.
