Talent hunt ‘Yuva Manch’ organised at CLUJ

JAMMU, May 11: Department of Students Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) organized an Intra-University Talent Hunt Programme ‘Yuva Manch’ under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof Bechan Lal, here today.
The talent hunt was organised to select best performing students who would represent the University in the upcoming All India Youth Festival-a flagship initiative of Mission Youth J&K Government, scheduled to be held at Srinagar.
The event witnessed a massive and vibrant participation from students who showcased their talent in music, dance and theatre.
About 250 students from constituent Colleges and PGI Schools displayed their talent in vocal solo, group and solo dance as well as in skit. Akash Dogra, noted choreographer, Ravinder Sharma, renowned dramatist and Ravi Sharma, eminent musician were the jury members for the event.
About 40 students were shortlisted for further participation. Dr Twinkle Suri, Dean Students Welfare congratulated the students of the University for their participation as this was the first mega offline event after the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. She assured that the University would organise more such events to give a platform to the students, so that they exhibit their creative spark in varied activities.
Deans of faculties, Dr Geetanjali Rana, Dr Sindhu Kapoor, Associate Dean, Dr Banpreet Kour, Assistant Deans, Prof Shamim and Dr Javaid Iqbal, Conveners of Cultural Committees from Colleges and PGI Schools were present at the event. Dr Revika Arora and Dr Kuldeep Raina, Cultural Coordinators Cluster University of Jammu conducted the proceedings of the programme.
