‘Talent of city’ test held

JAMMU, Dec 9: In various centres in and around Jammu to find the best talent of the city AK Vidyamandir, Jammu Centre  held  the “talent of the city” test, here today. The test was aimed at finding the most talented  students, eligible to partake of scholarships amounting to Rs 25 lakhs with the first five, slated to receive one lakh each in the shape of a waiver in tuition fees.
Thirty five more students would also get scholarships ranging from Rs Seventy five to thirty thousand depending upon rank.
The test was designed to test both the scholastic aptitude and the mental ability besides general knowledge of the students of class 10th moving to class 11th.
Thousands of children participated in the test to weigh their chances. The main centres at Govt Polytechnic College, Shiksha Niketan School and Govt Girls Higher Secondary School R S Pora, wore a festive look as fleets of cars driven by parents to drop their children, were seen thronging these centres. Lots of students from the suburbs of Jammu  were seen writing the test. Students from far away places like Basohli. Billawar and Rajouri also participated. Their was an air of expectancy in and around these centres.  Expectant parents and anxious students were breathing in an ambience of competiton sending the right vibes to all that came in contact.
