SRINAGAR, Nov 24: To celebrate the silver jubilee of the J&K National Sports Club, an opening ceremony of Kashmir Gold Cup Taekwondo Championship was held at the Indoor Stadium, here today.
Political Secretary to Chief Minister, Tanvir Sadiq was the chief guest who inaugurated the event in a well attended function.
Addressing the inaugural function, Mr Tanvir congratulated all the players from outside and within the State and said that it’s a matter of immense pride that many of the young players have brought laurels to the State.
He said 8 out of the 15 awards were won in by the State players in Bhutan and in Mumbai they won 17 gold medals, which is simply a huge achievement.
