JOURIAN, Dec 25: Former Minister and Congress leader Sham Lal Sharma said that schools should focus on moral values rather than mere education to the students.
The former Minister was speaking in the 27th Annual Day function of Tiny Aspirants Public Higher Secondary School (TAPS), here.
Sham, who was the chief guest on the occasion, asked the school management to always take the initiative for proper education and guidance for children as they are the future leader of the country.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp of knowledge.
The other dignitaries to grace the occasion were Gopal Singh SDM Akhnoor, Parveen Sharma, Chairman Citizen Cooperative Bank and Mohit Gupta Tehsildar Jourian.
The function started with the lighting of lamp by the chief guest and thereafter participants presented their different views.

“Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge, and knowledge makes us great”, he added.
He hoped that Tiny Aspirants will play an important role in enhancing and sustaining the quality of education as their endeavour can bring fresh innovation in the system and can go a long way in providing the young generation a platform, expressing their talents, wisdom and vision.
Earlier, Principal Seema Sharma presented welcome address and thanked the chief guest, special guests and participating schools for their participation in the function.
