JAMMU, Jan 31: Director General of Youth Services and Sports (YSS), Rajinder Singh Tara, visited the Bharat Scouts & Guides site at Bhalwal, to assess the ongoing progress and formulate a future action plan for infrastructure development. The site, covering 8.17 Kanal of land, was recently transferred to Bharat Scouts & Guides for the establishment of essential facilities.
Accompanied by a team of senior officials, including Jitendra Mishra, Deputy Director (Central) YSS, Ravi Sharma, Deputy Director Planning, and key figures from Bharat Scouts & Guides, Tara reviewed the initial groundwork at the site. He issued clear instructions for the swift implementation of a comprehensive plan to build a complex that will cater to the needs of scouts and guides.
During his visit, Tara lauded the invaluable contributions of Scouts and Guides in nation-building, highlighting their selfless service, discipline, and leadership. “Scouts and Guides are a living embodiment of unity in diversity, striving for equity and inclusion in society,” he said. Tara emphasized the importance of upgrading infrastructure to help Scouts and Guides serve the community effectively and efficiently.
