JAMMU, Sept 14: Tarun Uppal, Social Activist and Chairperson Nirbhay Bharat Foundation felicitated young players of J&K UT who won medals in 10th Lagori National Championship in Rewari, Haryana.
He said despite being newcomers to the national stage, the team displayed exceptional talent and received an overwhelming response from both spectators and fellow participants, setting the stage for their potential participation in the upcoming national games in Goa.
The boys’ team included Abhi Kumar, Suresh Kumar, Aman Deep, Rijwal, Gritish, Vansh, Sunil Kumar, Hanu Pawan, while the girls’ team was represented by Tanmeet Kour, Kalpana, Samriti Sharma, Samiksha Sharma, Gungun, Navya, Sapna, and others. Together, they exhibited exemplary sportsmanship and determination under the expert guidance of Pawan Singh.
Tarun Uppal said Jammu has traversed a long way over the years with its youth making a big mark in every sphere of activity-art, sports, academics and culture. He said the victory of these youth is yet another feather in the saga of successes Jammu is credited with.
