JAMMU, Mar 29: Praful Dhar’s exceptional bowling performance, where he claimed 5 wickets, guided Tawi Cricket Academy to a 3-wicket victory over MIER XI in a 40-over match at MA Stadium, here today. The game saw Tawi Cricket Academy successfully chase down a modest target set by MIER XI, securing the win with 7 wickets down.
MIER XI, put to bat first, could only manage a modest total of 126 runs in 24.5 overs. Dheeraj and Adhyan Bhushan were the top scorers for their side, contributing 22 and 19 runs, respectively. None of the other batters could reach double figures.
Praful Dhar was the star with the ball, taking 5 wickets for just 33 runs in 8 overs. Vansh supported well, claiming 4 wickets for 22 runs in 6.4 overs. In reply, Tawi Cricket Academy reached the target in 26.3 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Piyush Deoria (19), Atul Watloo (18*), and Chandan (13*) were the key contributors. Anmol was the standout bowler for MIER XI, claiming 3 wickets for 20 runs in 5 overs, while Jatin Sharma took 2 wickets. Praful was adjudged Player of the Match for his brilliant bowling performance.
