Tawi Sports Club outplays Veer CC by 11 runs in Holi Cup

JAMMU, Mar 26: Tawi Sports Club defeated Veer Sports Club by a narrow margin of 11 runs in the ongoing 2nd Holi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Civil Society Mandal under the supervision of Mukesh Sharma, Sachin Singh and Sunil Kumar at Mandal, here.
Batting first, Tawi Club scored 11 runs in 18 overs. Ranjit was the top scorer with 30 runs, while Sarthak Peshin contributed valuable 26 runs and Anchal chipped in with 12 runs. Yogesh Sikka was the wrecker-in-chief for Veer Cricket Club, who scalped 4 important wickets by conceding 14 runs in his 4 overs, while Mohd Altaf took 3 wickets and Bharti Sharma claimed one.
In reply, Veer Cricket Club bundled out for 100 runs in 19.3 overs, thus lost the match by 11 runs. Arun Kumar and Suresh were the main contributors with 32 and 20 runs respectively. For Tawi Sports Club, Nitin Mehra and Vinay bagged 3 wickets each, while Yasir claimed 2 wickets.
The match was officiated by Virender Singh and Bablu as umpires, while Raj Kumar and Sohan Bharti were the scorer and commentator respectively.
