Tawi Sports to lock horns with Jammu Club in final on Sunday

JAMMU, July 1: Tawi Sports Cricket Club (TSCC) will lock horns with Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) in the final of the 3rd Jammu Tawi Summer T-20 Cup, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College ground, on Sunday.
Earlier, the first semifinal match was played between TSCC and Gole Cricket Club (GCC), in which former registered win by a huge margin of 119 runs here.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, TSCC set a target of 175 runs for 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Manish Dogra played a splendid inning of 76 runs, whereas Nitin and Punnet made 29 and 26 runs respectively.
From GCC side, Ajay took 3 wickets, whileas Rajesh claimed 2 wickets and Sandeep took 1 wicket.
In the second inning, GCC failed to chase the target and bundled out at paltry 56 runs for all out in 13.4 overs. Love Chib was top scorer with 13 runs, whereas Sukhwinder and Ajay Singh made 8 runs each.
From TSCC side, Mannu was the pick of the bowler with 4 wickets, whereas Nitin and Manjeet took 2 wickets each. Kuldeep and Manish Dogra claimed one wicket each.
Manish Dogra of TSCC was declared as man of the match.
In the second semis, Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) crushed Shastri Cricket Club (SCC) by 13 runs.
Batting first after winning the toss, JCC scored 158 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. Mithun Manhas, IPL player and president of JCC scored half century, whileas Sandeep Singh and Sidharth Magotra made 39 and 28 runs respectively.
From SCC side, Amit Sharma scalped 2 wickets, whileas Rompy Sharma took 1 wicket.
In reply, SCC failed to chase the target and bundled out at 145 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Avesh Sharma scored 40 runs, whileas Deeker and Amit Sharma made 35 and 20 runs respectively.
From JCC side, Rahil Singh and Deepak Dogra scalped 2 wickets each, whereas Paras Sharma and Ritik took one wicket apiece.
Mithun Manhas of JCC was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant batting performance.
The matches were officiated by Sandeep Manchanda, Madan Lal and Sohail Yusuf. The commentators were Sohan Bharti and Amit Sharma.
