JAMMU, Nov 5: Under a ‘One Day Short Series Programme’ Tawi Trekkers held a one day trek with students of Oriental Academy Senior Secondary School, Jammu here today. There were 102 students including 51 girls in the expedition.
The group was led by President of the Club Ram Khajuria. Principal of the School Vivek Chauhan and Senior Members also accompanied the group. The participants had a nice time enjoying the first 3 kms stroll from Kattal Batal to Bhed Devta and further four kilometres of gentle ascent on a well laid out path amidst the charming pines.
The purpose of organising the trek is to promote heritage sites and lesser frequented beauty spots of Jammu such as Mohore Garh, Bhupnergarh, Purmandal and Bhed Devta by linking them for creating an adventure, heritage and pilgrimage circuit.
