JAMMU, Oct 29: As a part of its continuous endeavor to produce national and international sport climbers in J&K, Tawi Trekkers J&K arranged a specialized coaching cum practice camp for J&K climbers who have been selected in the north zone team for participation in the National Sport Climbing Competition, being held at Delhi from October 27 to October 30, 2015.
The weeklong camp to be conducted from October 31 to November 6, 2015 at international standard climbing walls in Indian Mountaineering Foundation Complex, New Delhi under the supervision of national coaches has been jointly sponsored by Ashwani Sharma, Ex MLA; Surestha Khajuria, Principal of Shangrilla Public School, Sarwal Jammu; Vivek Chauhan, Administrator, Oriental Academy Hr. Sec. School, Jammu and Arti Sharma, Director of Sprawling Buds School, Chinore, Jammu.
While thanking the sponsors for their liberal assistance, Shawetica Khajuria, general secretary of Tawi Trekkers J&K hoped that the camp would go a long way in sharpening and strengthening the climbing skills of the participants besides giving them the necessary exposure to climb on international standard climbing walls which would prepare them adequately to win medals in the national competition.
