JAMMU, Dec 15: All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation has demanded repatriation of those Masters, Headmasters and Lecturers who were adjusted in other districts on their promotion in 2010-11 and have completed their tenure.
Talking to media persons, here today the Federation president Bhushan S Verma said that the teachers promoted as Masters in 2013 were adjusted in their home districts while those serving in Doda, Ramban, Kishtwar and Reasi etc for the last more than two years since their transfer to these districts, have not been repatriated till date.
“Those who have been brought back to their home districts, are attached in the office of CEO without post and salary for the reasons best known to the concerned authorities,” he said and demanded immediate adjustment of these teachers against the posts in various institutions.
The Federation convener Maheshwar Prasad alleged violation of Civil Service Rules in the Education Department and said that some incharge Headmasters have been given the charge of zones instead of appointing Zonal Education Officers.
Further, he added, a large number of Higher Secondary Schools and High Schools are headless as the Education authorities are neither promoting senior Lecturers to Principal nor adjusting newly promoted Headmasters in the schools.
The Federation leaders also accused the Education authorities of making mockery of the ban on transfers and alleged that a number of teachers and Masters were transferred recently with back date order after the ban. They appealed the Chief Minister to intervene and stop autocratic attitude of the School Education authorities.
The Federation leaders, including Mohan Singh, Ravinder Verma, Mohd Kasim Malik, Gulzar Hussain and Ram Pal Saini were also present in the press conference.
