JAMMU, Sept 19: A team of 12 selected players have been flagged off to participate in the 40th Junior National Kho-Kho Championship to be held at KIIT University Bhubneswar Odisha.
The team was flagged off by Amrinderpal Singh (IO KKFI) and Pankaj Malhotra (International Player) from Railway Station here.
The selected players are Nitin, Dhrubdeep Singh (c), Sanjay, Ranjeet, Jaskirit Singh, Madhur Sharma, Harish, I Farzan Ahmed, Ashish, Rohit Sharma, Rohit Kumar and Jogesh Kumar. The team will be accompanied by Sunil Sharma as coach, Sahil Kumar as manager and Kashu Rajput as official.
Earlier, J&K Sports Council conducted screening test of the players selected for the 40th Junior National Kho-Kho Championship to be held at KIIT University, Bhubneswar, Odisha.
The screening was conducted by DSO and Joint Secretary J&K Sports Council Ashok Singh Jamwal in presence of JKKKA President Manmeet Singh, General Secretary Harjit Singh, Senior Vice President JKKKA BS Tirthi, JKSC Coach Ajay Gupta, Ravinder Singh Bali Coach SAI Club, Amrinder Singh, Kashu Rajput International Official and Pankaj Malhotra International Player at Green Field Gandhi Nagar here.
