JAMMU, Nov 22: In a day full of fun and entertainment, around 250 students of Tech Mahindra Smart Academy for Healthcare, Mohali, the CSR Wing of Tech Mahindra Foundation celebrated first anniversary.
The chief guest on the occasion was Lieutenant General NS Ghei, former Additional Director General Military Operations.
On the occasion, the students who had got placements in various hospitals of the tricity, narrated their tales of trials and tribulations, where they had beaten all odds to stand on their feet. The heartrending stories of such achievers in the face of adversities was inspiring. They shared the trajectory of their growth in the skill development centre and what it meant to be self-reliant and determine their own success by grit and hard work. Their heart touching struggle between finances and academics was overwhelming.
An interesting choreography stills item was enacted by the students, depicting the three pillars of Tech Mahindra Foundation-Education, Employability and Disability.
Twelve students were given Awards of Excellence in the convocation ceremony where they were recognized and felicitated for their outstanding all-round performance by the esteemed chief guest Lieutenant General NS Ghei.
While speaking, he motivated the others to follow the footsteps of their peers.
The event concluded with a colourful Bhangra performance by the students from various courses.
