JAMMU, Mar 11: Technical Knowledge Dissemination week organized by IECS Polytechnic, Purkhoo Camp concluded today.
On the occasion, an extension lecture was organized, where Er Sumit Gandotra, senior faculty member from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra addressed the students about the concept of “Green Buildings”.
Earlier, during the week, extension lecture, seminars, workshops, faculty development programmes and industrial visits were organized.
A workshop was conducted in collaboration with Brain Stair Technology on the topic “Android Technology and its Application”, where Sushil Tandon, Managing Director, Brain Stair along with his team of experts apprised the students regarding the application of this technology in Mobile communication and other Computer Engineering field.
Another workshop was conducted for the benefit of Civil Engineering students where in a team of experts from M/s Ambuja Cements Private Limited led by Er Amit Pandita and Er Sheikh Irfan delivered Lecture on “Aggregates in Mortar and Concrete” through power point presentation. Videos on the constructional features of Burj Khalifa in Dubai and “Sustainable Development” by Dr MP Poonia, Director, NITTTR, Chandigarh were also exhibited.
During this week technical visits were also arranged for the benefit of students to M/s Sudhir Gensets at Bari Brahmana, Accurate Industries at Digiana and Power Grid Station, Janipur.
