UDHAMPUR, Mar 2: In an apparent case of suicide, a teenage girl was found hanging at her house in village Mali in Rehambal.
The deceased, identified as Nisha Devi (18), daughter of Late Romal Chand of Ward number 01, Tasender Morh Mali in Rehambal, was found hanging with a rope from the roof of her house under mysterious circumstances.
On being informed by the family members, SHO Rehambal Nishat Sumbria along with a Police team rushed to the spot and shifted the body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem.
It was an apparent case of suicide, but the cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained. Police have registered a case in this connection under 174 CrPC for further investigation.
