Teenager killed, 10 injured in dhok collapse

BHADERWAH, June 29: A teenager was killed, while 10 others were injured when an under construction dhok collapsed in Jai Valley about 35 km away from the Bhaderwah town.
As per reports, some members of the Gujjar community were busy in construction work of a dhok, when it collapsed suddenly causing injuries to 11 persons.
On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
All the injured were shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah, where doctors declared Sajjad Ahmed (18), son of Ghulam Rasool of Goru as brought dead.
The injured were identified as Salman Gujjar (26), son of Barkat Ali of Goru, Mir Ali (20), son of Noor Mai Gujjar of Kunthal, Najab Din (45), son of Sher Mohammad of Goru, Fareed Ahmed (30), son of Biru Gujjar, his two brothers Zakir Hussain (22) and Shafi Gujjar (35), Barkat Ali, son of Noor Mahi of Kunthal, Bag Hussain (18), son of Ghulam Hussain of Goru, Saraj Din (35), son of Shafi Gujjar of Goru and Farooq Ahmed (32), son of Jaffer Hussain of Goru.
The condition of the injured was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
Bhaderwah police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
