Teetwal Cricket Club wins Sharda League

SRINAGAR, Sept 22: Teetwal Cricket Club won the inaugural Sharda Cricket League Cup by defeating Hajinar XI at Shan-e-Teetwal ground along the Line of Control, Teetwal Kashmir.
The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara Ayushi Sudan in presence of SSP Kupwara, Sub District Magistrate (SDM), Gulzar Rather, Tehsildar Eyad Qadri and Save Sharda Committee Kashmir president Ravinder Pandita. The winners got Rs 40,000 cash prize besides trophy and medal, while the runner up got Rs 20,000 Cup and medal. Best batsman, best bowler, man of the match awards were also given. DC Kupwara praised Sharda Committee for organising the first of its kind of tourney in the border village that has put Teetwal on the map of border tourism and Sharda has become a pivotal point. The tournament started on July 26 in which two teams from Delhi-NCR also participated.
