POONCH, Nov 22: Tehsil Haveli will take on Tehsil Mandi in the summit clash, while Tehsil Surankote will face Tehsil Mendhar for 3rd and 4th positions in the ongoing Poonch Inter-Tehsil cricket league tournament (under-19) years, being organized by 39 Rashtriya Rifles at Jhullas ground, here.
In the Ist match played between Tehsil Haveli and Tehsil Mendhar, Haveli won the match by 7 wickets.
Batting first, Mendhar made 86 runs in 14.4 overs, while Haveli chased the target in 13.2 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. For Haveli Shaban took 3 wickets, while for Mendhar Rahil and Majeeb claimed one wicket each.
For Tehsil Mendhar, Majeeb and Rahil scored 36 and 14 runs respectively, while for Tehsil Haveli Gagandeep and Arpanjot scored 30 and 20 runs respectively.
In another match, Tehsil Mandi defeated Surankote by 14 runs. Mandi scored 141 runs in 15 overs for the loss of 5 wickets, while Surankote scored 128 runs for the loss of 1 wickets in 15 overs. For Mandi, Sarfaraz scored 77 runs, while for Surankote Naseer scored 70 runs. Adnan and Tasir took 1 wicket each for Surankote, while Sarfaraz took 1 wicket for Mandi.
Col RJ Naryan was the chief guest, while prominent among others present on the occasion were Captain Yogesh, Pawan Kumar, Naib Subedar Nirmal Singh and Ravinder Singh
The matches were officiated by the technical panel of Rajinder Singh Toofan, Sanjay Misri, Gurwinder Singh, Vikas Sharma, Rajneesh Maini, DK Raina, Parvez Ahmed, Iftikar Bhatti and Harmik Singh.
The Tournament is being coordinated under technical supervision of Vijay Kumar (PEM) and Pawan Kumar (fitness trainer BCCI NCA JKCA).
