REASI, Apr 2: Tehsildar Thakrakote, Rajesh Baru along with Naib Tehsildar and other staff members handed over a cheque of Rs. one lakh & one thousand as Red Cross contribution to Sushma Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner Reasi.
Tehsildar Thakrakote apprised Deputy Commissioner Reasi that it has become possible due to best and collective efforts put in by his team members and because of massive participation of local inhabitants during various Public Darbars and Awareness Camps organised recently across the Tehsil. Mr. Baru further said that during various public durbars he made the people of the area understand regarding judicious utility of these funds for the poor and needy during natural disasters & calamities.
On the request of Tehsildar, People have donated voluntarily for this cause. Even poor masses have contributed whatever little they could contribute for this genuine cause. Besides Tehsildar Thakrakote has also vacated more than 1509 kanals of State land and completed 100 percent coverage under Aadhar in the Tehsil besides making 6600 Ration Cards E-tickets.
The DC issued appreciation letter in favour of Mr Rajesh Baru Tehsildar and his team members.
