Terror module busted, one held

JAMMU, Sept 16: In a major breakthrough, police today busted a terror module of banned outfits operating through social media and arrested one person indulging in unlawful activities.
As per police spokesman, based on credible input from Military Intelligence (MI), District Police Jammu has arrested an accused in terror module in the area of Sub-Division Domana who was in touch with terror operatives through various social media platforms.
“On September 14, 2020, an information was received by Police Post Chinore regarding presence of a radicalized person namely Nazar Hussain, son of Mohammad Alam of Raipar Kheri who is regularly indulging in unlawful activities and advocating and abetting unlawful activities with anti national elements through social media”, the spokesman said adding that police team immediately swing into action and arrested the accused.
The accused was in contact with terrorists and their supporters of banned terror outfits. He had been circulating pictures and videos and other incriminating material through various social media applications in an attempt to wage war against the Government of India. The accused has been in regular touch with terror operatives through various communication channels.
A case under FIR Number 248/2020 under sections 13 and 18 ULAP Act 1967, 121 and 121-A IPC and 66F of IT Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
The arrest was made by Incharge Police Post Chinore SI Deepak Bharti under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Chanchal Singh, SDPO Domana Kosheeen Koul, SP Rural Suram Singh and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
