Thakur resigns from post of Jt Secy Sports Council

SRINAGAR, Jan 19: Joint Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council, who also happens to be the President of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, Zamir Ahmed Thakur has resigned from the post of Joint Secretary as well as the Member of Sports Council, here today.
Thakur’s resignation letter to the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, who is the President of J&K State Sports Council reads- “I was elected as Joint Secretary Sports Council by the Government by the Order No: 107.Edu (Tech) of 2015 in the meeting of General Council of Sports Council at Civil Secretariat under the Chairmanship of the then Chief Minister. I hereby resign from the post of Joint Secretary Kashmir as well as the Member Sports Council today on January 19, 2017 due to my personal reasons”.
Mr Thakur when contacted said that he has resigned from the post only because of his personal reasons.
Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Waheed-ur-Rehman Para when contacted on the issue said that Mr Thakur has sent his resignation to the Chief Minister reasons better known to him, adding that he was an able administrator.
