JAMMU, May 7: Wicketkeeper batsman Raman Thaploo and all-rounder Raman Dutta guided KCCC to a big win of 156 runs over Friends Cricket Club, while Vijay Dogra’s 4-wicket haul helped New Challengers Cricket Club to register a narrow win by 4 runs over formidable Jammu Cricket Club in the ongoing JKPL T20 Cricket Tournament at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, KCC defeated Friend Cricket Club by a huge margin of 156 runs. Bating first, KCCC made 194 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process. Raman Thaploo scored brilliant unbeaten 50 runs, while Raman Dutta and Pardeep Bali contributed 46 runs each.
In reply, Friends Club bundled out for a paltry total of 38 runs in 11.4 overs. Mandy was the only batsman to cross double figure mark, scoring 12 runs. For KCCc, Raman Dutta was the pick of the bowlers, scalping 4 important wickets, while Pardeep Bali and Ankush Bandral claimed 2 wickets each.
In another match, batting first, New Challengers Club scored 140 runs. Manjeet Singh top scored with 28 runs, while Manish Dogra contributed 26 runs to the total. Ramdayal and Rahul Mussa chipped in with 23 runs each. For JCC, Hrithik took 2 wickets, while Rahil Singh, Paras Sharma and Guru Partap Singh claimed one wicket each.
In reply, JCC managed to score 136 runs in the stipulated overs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 4 runs. Surya Mahotra and Sidharth Magotra were the main contributors with 35 and 34 runs respectively. Vujay Dogra was the wrecker-in-chief for New Challengers who took 4 wickets, while Soumay jain captured 2 wickets.
