Theft case solved, 3 accused arrested

UDHAMPUR, Dec 21: Udhampur Police have solved a theft case under the jurisdiction of PP Ghordi by arresting three accused involved in the commission of crime and also recovered stolen property from their possession.
The theft had taken place on December 12 when some unidentified persons struck the house of Ganesh Kumar, son of Suram Chand of Sughlar, Tehsil Ramnagar in Udhampur and stole 11 bundles of TMT bars (Saria) from outside his house in the jurisdiction of PP Ghordi. In this connection, a case FIR was registered in Police Station Ramnagar.
Taking cognizance of the matter, a team of PP Ghordi, headed by PSI Yogeshwar Manhotra under the supervision of SHO PS Ramnagar, Inspector Sohan Singh, rounded up some suspects and put them to sustained questioning.
During questioning, three suspects namely Ravi Kumar, son of Uttam Chand of Krowa, Udhampur, Ashraf Ali, son of Abdul Jalil of Mani, Ramnagar and Ainsh Din, son of Saif Ali of Langa, Barmeen, confessed their involvement in the said case following which the trio was arrested by the Police team.
On their instance, stolen property was also recovered by the Police team. Further investigation into the case is in progress.
