MENDHAR, Feb 21: The police worked out a theft case and recovered stolen gold, cash and other property in Mendhar Sub Division of district Poonch today.
Special police team from Police Station Mendhar under the supervision of SDPO Mendhar, Sheezan Bhat was constituted and the team led by SHO Mendhar, Inspector Nayaz Ahmed assisted by PSI Sunil Saini after collecting various evidences arrested the accused namely Saddam Hussain, son of Mohd Afsar, resident of Ari village in Mendhar.
The accused was found involved in case FIR No. 12/2023 u/s 457, 380 IPC of Police Station Mendhar.
During questioning, accused confessed his involvement in the crime and on his disclosure stolen gold and other property was recovered.
