REASI, Apr 9: District Police Reasi today achieved a major success by recovering the stolen amount of Rs 1,00,500 within two hours of theft and arrested the thief involved in this offense.
The accused has been identified as Sudarshan Singh alias Vishal son of late Sourabh Singh of Trintha Reasi.
A complaint from one Sanjay Kumar son of Krishan Swaroop of Ward No. 4 Reasi was received by police Station Reasi that some unknown persons had broken the locks of his scooty agency namely “Om Sai Ram” at Trintha in the night hours and cash of more than Rs one lakh was stolen . On this, case FIR No. 63/2019 U/S 457/380 RPC was registered and a special team was constituted, which rounded up the accused within two hours and recovered full stolen amount of Rs 1,00,500.
Meanwhile, Katra Police today arrested three gamblers and seized Rs 7200 along with playing cards from their possession.
The accused were identified as Mohinder Singh son of Kartar Singh, Lehar Singh son of Amar Nath, both the residents of Thakrakote, Reasi and Hoshiar Singh son of Gushu Ram of Ladda Mongri, Udhampur. They were gambling at open place near Bathing Ghat Banganga.
