They shared every moment of life together, even death

RAMBAN, Apr 6: They came to this world together, shared every moment of life jointly for several years and then finally left this world together. This is the tale of twins, who lost their lives during a tragic accident in the district this morning.
Born together on October 29, 1981, Sanjay Singh and Manjeet Singh, sons of Naseeb Singh of Kundi Karol in Ramban district grew up together, completed their basic studies from one school and then obtained higher education jointly.
On the basis of their common qualification as MA and BEd, both were appointed as teachers in the School Education Department on the same day and joined the department on September 27, 2012 together.
At present, Sanjay Singh was posted as teacher at Government High School Juwang while Manjeet Singh was posted as teacher in Government UPS Dhandlla. There was strong emotional bonding among them and they used to share even minor moment of their lives with each other.
In a rare incident, the Almighty has even snatched their lives together leaving the entire family as well as their relatives shell shocked.
As per their routine, both were travelling in their Alto car from Kundi Karol to Halla Dundrath, a link road in Ramban district, when all of a sudden the vehicle rolled down into 350 feet deep gorge near Devta Gali area, falling under the jurisdiction of Ramban Police Station.
On getting information about the accident, a police team rushed to the spot and with the help of volunteers of Quick Rescue Team (QRT) retrieved the bodies from the gorge. Both the bodies were shifted to District Hospital Ramban and after autopsy the same were handed over to the family members for last rites, which were also performed together and at one place.
“Even death could not separate them”, remarked a family member of deceased.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti expressed grief over the loss of lives. She extended heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
