Thief arrested, 5 stolen bikes recovered

JAMMU, May 17: Miran Sahib Police today claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting a thief and recovering five stolen bikes on his disclosure.
“A bike was stolen under the jurisdiction of Police Station Miran Sahib, following which a case FIR number 39/2022 U/S 379 IPC was registered and investigation started,” police sources said. They said a special team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq was constituted by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh to solve the case.
They during investigation, apprehended a suspect Mohd Akram alias Akri son of Mohd Qazi, resident of Javed Nagar (Nikki Tawi, Jammu) and during sustained questioning he disclosed that he had stolen five motorcycles. “On his disclosure, the police recovered a Hero Honda Splendour with chasis number 02G20F10251, two Hero Passion Pro motorcycles with chasis number MBLHA1OAWCGDO36 and MBLHA1OAWCGF82809 and two Splendor bikes with chasis number MBLAAR087JATY and MF2497CHGBG,” sources added.
Further investigation into the case was started.
