JAMMU, Sept 18: Nehru Market Police arrested a thief along with stolen cash.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Karan Sethi, son of Bishan Sethi of Kalakote District Rajouri regarding theft of Rs 4 lakh from truck.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 130/2020 under section 380 IPC was registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Nehru Market Police Post led by SI Sumeet Sharma and assisted by SI Om Parkash rounded up several suspects and finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Sunil Kumar, son of Bansi Lal of Sumah Tehsil Akhnoor, District Jammu.
Stolen cash was also recovered from his possession.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Gurnam Choudhary, SDPO South Ram Singh, SP South Deepak Digra and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
