JAMMU, Oct 12: Police arrested a thief along with stolen scooties and other items.
As per reports, a complaint was lodged by Vishal Sharma, son of Subash Chander Sharma of Bishnah with Police Station Bishnah stating that his vehicle has been stolen by some unidentified person(s).
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 93/2020 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
During investigation of the case, several leads were taken up, connected and finally the thief identified as Sameer Ahmed, son of Mubashir Hussain of Vilage Liyan Tehsil Bonjwah District Kishtwar was caught in a trap laid by Jammu Police.
During questioning, the said person confessed his involvement in the above said case and on his disclosure, stolen scooties and other items were recovered.
Further investigation is going on to ascertain his involvement in any other case.
The whole investigation was done under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan.
