Thinkers Forum discusses problems of migrants

JAMMU, Feb 23: JK Thinkers Forum organized a meeting to deliberate upon the problems and issues facing the displaced Pandits from Valley and sought suggestions from various KP leaders and activists for resolving these problems of long and short term nature.
The meeting was presided over by Vijay Bakaya senior NC leader and ex MLC. The participants expressed their views and stressed that such interactions and deliberations need to be organized in future too.
The meeting was organized by the president of the Forum Kuldeep Pandita who set the agenda also which included devising of concrete steps for rehabilitation of the migrant community, issuing of RBA certificates, simplifying of bifurcation of families, immediate issuance of selection list of the candidates pending for over one year as well as immediate advertisement of additional 3000 posts under PM package.
The speakers reiterated that in the prevailing circumstances, KPs need to play a role that will strengthen the age old plural ethos of the country to thwart the designs of divisive and communal forces. The meeting stressed upon the government to resolve problems of immediate and urgent nature including issuance of RBA certificates.
H L Bhat who was the guest of honour, emphasized that the community should not in haste take any decision which will be detrimental to the community cause.
