Three animals charred to death

SRINAGAR, Jan 21: Three animals were charred to death in a fire incident in Ganderbal district while as a water tanker caught fire in the Panzla area of Baramulla district.
A police spokesman said that during the intervening night of January 20 and 21, fire broke out in the residential house and an adjacent cow shed of Nazir Ahmad Tedwa, son of Mohammad Ibrahim resident of Rezan-Gund, Ganderbal. Three cattle were charred in the cow shed besides the house was completely gutted in the incident. The cause of fire is being ascertained.
The spokesman said that fire broke out in the three storied shopping complex of Shabir Ahmad Dagga, son of Ghulam Mohammad, resident of Barthana, Qamarwari at Fruit Mandi-Parimpora. The shopping complex along with hardware items were damaged in the fire incident. The cause of fire is being ascertained.
He said a water tanker JK02C/2115 driven by Aqib Rahim Mallah, son of Abdul Rahim, resident of Panzla turned turtle between Panzla and Patusa, caught fire, resulting in partial damage to the tanker. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident.
